4 medium sized potatoes
1 egg, well beaten
1/2 to 3/4 c. matzo meal (or flour)
salt & pepper
1 tsp. onion, grated (or more!)
Grate the potatoes and drain off as much of the excess liquid as
possible.
Grate the onion onto a paper towel, and dry it by patting with the
towel.
Mix all the ingredients together an drop by spoonfuls in a
well-oiled heated pan. Fry until done. (Serve with applesauce.)
