3 boxes strawberries
1 large & 1 small box frozen berries
cornstarch
sugar to taste
whipping cream
2 pre-baked pie crusts
Strain the frozen berries. To each cup of pulp that remains, at 1
tblsp. of cornstarch and about 1/4 c. sugar. Mix these together
and cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce clears (about 15
minutes).
Arrange the fresh berries in the baked shell (pointy side up) and
pour the sauce over them. Chill
Before serving the pie, cover it with whipped cream—or serve the
cream separately.
