1 lb. Spry (or Crisco)
4 tblsp. sugar
2 egg yolks
4 tblsp. sour cream
1 glass of orange juice
salt
1 heaping tsp. baking powder
4 c. flour
walnuts
raisins (sultanas are best)
strawberry jam
cinnamon and sugar (mixed)

Mix the first eight ingredients. Roll the dough into rectangular sheets not more than 12" wide (and no longer than your cookie sheet!).

Spread the rectangles of dough with jam (not too thick), then sprinkle evenly all over with walnuts, raisins, and cinnamon-and-sugar. Roll width-wise into a log about 2.5 inches across.

Transfer the "logs" to a cookie sheet and score the top about every inch or 3/4 inch. Dust with cinnamon and sugar.

Bake at 325 for 40-50 minutes. When the Strudel is reasonably cool, slice along the scores into individual pieces.
