2 eggs (beaten well)
2 cups brown sugar
2 cups sour milk (milk + vinegar)
4 cups flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 cup chestnuts


Beat together the eggs and sugar. Add the milk and mix, then add everything else. Pour the batter into a greased & floured loaf pans (or 2 small pans).

Bake at 350º for one hour or more until gently brown.
